The story goes back to 2015. According to a Times of India report from that year, an Uber driver, Shahnavaz Khan, was taking a pregnant woman named Babli to a hospital in Delhi when she went into labour. Babli had booked the cab after repeated emergency calls for an ambulance received no response. She was travelling with two other women at the time.
