Kerala Congress (J) chairman P J Joseph has stated his party will seek two ministerial positions in the next UDF government. He was speaking before a UDF meeting in Thiruvananthapuram to discuss government formation. The UDF secured a majority in the recent elections. Joseph also conveyed his party's view that the Chief Minister should be chosen from elected MLAs.
