The TMC is launching a twin-front campaign blitz for the West Bengal assembly elections, with Mamata Banerjee leading in the BJP stronghold of north Bengal and Abhishek Banerjee focusing on southern districts. This strategy aims to counter the BJP's challenge across distinct electoral battlegrounds, with key rallies and meetings scheduled in the coming weeks.

The Election Commission has finished the initial random distribution of electronic voting machines and paper trail devices. This process ensures fairness for the upcoming elections in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry. Randomisation has also been completed for bypolls in Goa, Karnataka, Nagaland, and Tripura. Political parties were present during this transparent allocation of voting machines.
