Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday claimed that the BJP 'attacked' the owners of forensic labs, rubbishing the cases against two individuals by the Gurugram Police for allegedly fabricating the forensic report in the viral video case.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday alleged that the BJP had pressured, intimidated and threatened forensic lab owners to extract confessions that they had accepted money to produce a fake report clearing him in the sacrilege video controversy.

'By scaring the lab owners with the registration of FIR and torturing or threatening them, they (BJP) want to get a statement from them to claim that money was taken for preparing fabricated reports,' claimed Mann

"An FIR should be filed against Bhagwant Mann and his associates because what Bhagwant Mann has done is a first-in-history situation that has arisen, and there is no constitutional provision for it. Bhagwant Mann has committed an act that could trigger a civil war and a storm in the state. Such people should not be spared under any circumstances. Since there is no provision in the Constitution, the Governor of the State is responsible. The governor is the constitutional head of the state, and he is above all others, and he can revoke all his powers. As there is no provision in the Constitution, the Constitution should be amended immediately as it is amendable," he said.
