NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday acknowledged technical problems affecting its online application portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer books.

CBSE 12th re-evaluation 2026: CBSE earlier extended the date for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer sheets, the last date to apply for scanned copies of answer books is May 23, which was set to May 22 earlier. Students will get a scanned copy of the answer books under the RTI Act 2005.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline to apply for Class 12 scanned answer books to May 23, 2026, following portal technical glitches.

CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation 2026: The fee for obtaining a scanned copy of an evaluated answer book has been reduced from Rs 700 to Rs 100 per subject. Students can apply for this facility from May 19 to May 22.

CBSE Results 2026: The facility allows students to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets, enabling greater transparency in the evaluation process and helping candidates review their performance in detail.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for students to apply for scanned copies of evaluated answer books for the Class 12 Board examinations 2026.

The original deadline of May 22 has been extended to May 23, CBSE said. Candidates have been advised to make use of this extended timeline and apply accordingly. All other terms and conditions of the facility remain unchanged.

According to an official circular issued by the board after concerns were raised by parents and candidates, students can now apply for scanned copies till May 23, 2026, instead of the earlier deadline of May 22.

Requests for re-evaluation will be opened today, and the processing of the request will begin on May 22. Students will be able to access their rechecked answer sheets between May 26 and May 29.
