The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar launched a scathing attack against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav over his poll promises, accusing him of "misleading" people ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.

In a fierce response to the RJD's electoral claims, Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary emphasized the NDA government's track record of fulfilling promises. His remarks follow RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's ambitious pledge to double honorariums for panchayat officials and extend financial support.

Union Minister and BJP election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday lashed out at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his family, and said that promoting corruption, nepotism, and causing suffering to the people were thier policies during their rule in Bihar.

Tejashwi Yadav promises to repeal the Waqf (Amendment) Act if the INDIA bloc wins in Bihar, highlighting his commitment to democracy and communal harmony. He also pledges major development projects for the Seemanchal region, addressing local concerns and governance issues.

Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also announced that a lump sum of Rs 5 lakh for five years will be provided interest-free to people from marginalised communities, engaged in caste-based professions, to assist them financially.

Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has also promised to give Rs50 lakh as assistance for specific EBC groups for enhancing their skills and profession
