Ahead of the Pakistan talks, Iran's Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi shared images from their flight showing a symbolic gesture of remembrance. The photographs show images of victims from Minab placed on the seats inside the aircraft. Iranian leaders said the visuals were meant to remember "Minab 168", a reference to the lives lost in a deadly attack in Iran's Minab.

US President Donald Trump has reacted to the ongoing Islamabad talks, saying "we'll see what happens" as discussions continue. Speaking on the process, the U.S. President said no backup plan is needed, adding that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is "about 99 per cent of the deal," in a reference to Tehran's nuclear programme.

Iran's Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, along with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, has arrived in Islamabad for U.S. ceasefire talks, Pakistan's Foreign Office confirms. The delegation landed late Friday night at PAF's Noor Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi.

Hours before talks in Islamabad, US President Donald Trump said on Friday that US warships are being reloaded with weapons to strike Iran if talks in Pakistan do not produce a deal. He said that if the deal does not work out, the US will use the weapons "very effectively". In an interview with the New York Post, Trump said, "We have a reset going. We're loading up the ships with the best ammunition, the best weapons ever made -- even better than what we did previously, and we blew them apart." "And if we don't have a deal, we will be using them, and we will be using them very effectively." In a separate Truth Social post, Trump said that the Iranians have "no cards" and can only "extort" the world through international waterways. "The only reason they are alive today is to negotiate!" Trump wrote.
