NEW DELHI: Heavy rainfall is likely across several parts of the country on Saturday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting rain over northwest, central, east, northeast, west and peninsular India.

IMD issues red alert for Delhi as heavy rain causes traffic jams and waterlogging, with forecasts of continued rainfall until August 10.

IMD forecasts more rain and thunderstorms in Gurugram on Friday, while waterlogging from Thursday's heavy showers continues to disrupt traffic across the city.
