Petrol and diesel prices were increased by up to 91 paise per litre on Saturday, marking the third hike in less than 10 days, with fresh rates now taking effect across major cities. In Delhi, petrol now costs Rs 99.51 per litre after a hike of 87 paise from Rs 98.64. Diesel prices in the capital have risen by 91 paise to Rs 92.49 per litre from Rs 91.58. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at Rs 110.64 per litre following a 94 paise increase, while diesel now costs Rs 97.02 per litre after a 95 paise hike. In Mumbai, petrol rates have gone up by 90 paise to Rs 108.49 per litre. Diesel in the city has increased by 94 paise and now stands at Rs 95.02 per litre.

Petrol and diesel prices rose again across the country, marking the third fuel price hike in just eight days and pushing cumulative increases to nearly INR 4.8 per litre since May 15. CNG prices also went up in parts of North India as soaring global crude rates continued to pressure domestic oil companies.
