An unexpected "guest lecturer" recently made an appearance at IIT Bombay and social media can't get enough of it. Instead of the usual classroom routine, students found themselves sharing their lecture hall with a calm and confident four-legged visitor who quickly became the centre of attention. The viral clip, posted on Instagram by Piyush Jaiswal, appears to have been recorded during regular class hours. As some students remain seated at their desks, others turn around, amused by the unexpected interruption. The dog, unfazed by the academic setting, is seen sitting comfortably on a table, surveying the room with surprising confidence -- almost as though it were about to begin teaching rather than disrupting the session. Rather than causing chaos, the moment sparked laughter and curiosity among those present. Sharing the video online, Jaiswal captioned it, "Finally Dogesh bhai got a table at IIT Bombay." Social media users were quick to join in on the humour. One person commented, "Even Dogesh bhai cracked IIT before me." Another added, "At least someone is attending lectures seriously." A phenomenon so rare that when it finally got caught on camera and began to float around on social media- netizens almost refused to call it even "real". In fact, the internet is still in the middle of a debate over the video's authenticity! The clip-in-question showed two young kids playing near a river; however, what happened next left everyone mesmerised and somewhat scared- all at the same time; the river began to freeze quite rapidly. In a span of just a few seconds, the upper layer of the entire river froze up. Allegedly, the sudden freeze was a result of a rare natural phenomenon called "supercooling". In 'supercooling', water in places with below 0degC temperature often starts to freeze when even slightly disturbed. As soon as the video went viral, netizens began to react. Most found the phenomenon "surreal" to watch or experience, while some downright refused to call it real and claimed that the video was "AI-generated". "A viral video appears to show a rare supercooling event, where water cooled below 0degC suddenly freezes when disturbed. Experts explain that under very calm, freezing conditions, a small ripple can trigger rapid ice formation across the surface," the post read.
