Several district administrations in Kerala have declared a holiday for schools and colleges today, August 3, as heavy rain continues across the state. The decision comes after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of more rainfall in the coming days.

From tomorrow onward, rainfall in the region is likely to weaken, leading to more stable weather conditions and some relief from the persistent rains of the past few days.

Mumbai: Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar is likely to witness light to moderate rainfall through Thursday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting a steady spell of showers over the next four days. The probability of rainfall has been classified as "very likely" on each day, while neighbouring Raigad is expected to see heavier spells on Monday before rainfall intensity eases.
