Nearly 4.04 lakh CBSE Class 12 students have sought scanned copies of 11.31 lakh evaluated answer books as scrutiny around the 2026 results intensifies. The board is facing questions over OSM, discrepancies, and the post-result process ahead of re-evaluation on May 29.

CBSE has reportedly decided to make scanned copies of evaluated answer books available through DigiLocker from the next academic year, i.e., from 2026-27 academic session onwards. According to many media reports, CBSE is planning to merge evaluated answer books with the DigiLocker platform.

In a statement posted to X on Friday, the education board said that the decision was taken to ensure a "transparent and glitch-free process" for students seeking verification and re-evaluation of their answer books.

CBSE launched the post-result support amid uproar over its OSM system, which sparked allegations and student protests.

According to the sources, the issue led to abnormal fee displays on the portal, where the payable amount in some cases fluctuated from around Re 1 to nearly Rs 67,000-68,000

According to official sources, there are around 20 cases where answer sheets got mixed. Students identified the problem after accessing the copies.
