NEW DELHI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall on Tuesday in parts of northeast India, West Bengal and Bihar, while several states are likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over the next few days. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR is expected to see no significant change in temperatures, with hot and humid conditions set to continue.

A heavy monsoon spell is being predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for a number of eastern and northeastern states including Himalayan regions till July 18. Thunderstorms and gusty winds have been forecasted in some parts of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal along with the possibility of flash floods and rough sea.

With the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) forecasting little to no chance of rain, daytime temperatures expected to hover between 38degC and 39degC, and humidity remaining high, residents are set to endure sultry conditions that could make the feels-like temperature cross 45degC during the afternoon.
