Responding to criticism from opposition parties over the involvement of the Defence Ministry and the Air Force in the examination process, Pradhan defended the decision, saying protecting students' futures was equally important.

Delhi will now offer free bus travel for NEET candidates. This decision follows a similar initiative by the Punjab government. The Delhi Transport Corporation will provide the service for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-test scheduled for June 21, 2026. This move aims to support students appearing for the crucial examination.

Tamil Nadu's Education Minister Thiru A. Rajmohan confirmed the state's firm stance against the National Education Policy and NEET. He stated that Tamil Nadu's existing education policy adequately meets the state's needs. The minister also highlighted the ongoing admission drive for the upcoming academic year and efforts to improve school infrastructure. The state's two-language policy will remain unchanged.
