The West Bengal STF has arrested Arpita Sarkar, alleging she worked with Hamim Mondal in a cross-border network targeting senior political figures, including West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. The investigation has also revealed that Hamim was allegedly instructed to procure police uniforms to create disturbances during the recent student protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.

The investigation has also thrown up a possible link to the recent student protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. According to the STF, Mondal was allegedly asked to procure police uniforms as part of an attempt by Pakistan-based operatives to create disturbances during the agitation.

Sharing a video on his Instagram handle, the Prime Minister said that the country and the world had witnessed what happened at Jantar Mantar, where "some mischievous children" used derogatory language.
