NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in a petition concerning the non-declaration of Class XII results and the issuance of blank marksheets to students in Gulf countries. The matter was raised on behalf of an Indian student residing in Saudi Arabia who allegedly received a marksheet without subject-wise marks despite the declaration of results.

Student activist Sarthak said his campaign on CBSE evaluation and tendering issues was not politically driven. His remarks came after criticism over his meeting with Rahul Gandhi and amid wider calls for transparency in examinations.

The CBSE stated that more than 1.6 lakh candidates successfully submitted requests related to over 3.8 lakh answer books during the application period, reflecting extensive utilisation of the post-result services by students.

CBSE re-evaluation: The clarification came amid certain media reports and social media posts regarding the functioning of the Post-Result Services Portal.
