CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation Portal Opens Live: On May 29, the board said its post-result portal for verification and re-evaluation of answer sheets will now become operational from June 1, 2026.

A massive data breach has exposed the answer sheets of two million CBSE Grade 12 students. The Congress party leader Jairam Ramesh has highlighted this incident, calling it a monumental lapse in student privacy. Concerns are raised about the company awarded the contract and the quality of scanning. This development follows previous allegations of mismanagement in the CBSE's Class 12 exams.

The action comes at a time when there is increasing scrutiny over the procurement process for the OSM system and irregularities in the rollout of the portal used for the re-evaluation of Class 12 exam results.

In a post on social media, Gandhi termed the government action as a "cover-up", reiterating his demand for the dismissal of the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. His comments came after CBSE chairman Rahul Singh and secretary Himanshu Gupta were transferred by the government.

Prashant Sitaram Lokhande is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the AGMUT cadre from 2001 batch. Before being appointed the CBSE chairman, he was posted as additional secretary in the union ministry of home affairs (MHA).

Several students posted on X that the portal had a tight session timeout and was logging them out quickly with a 'login request expired' error.

In a statement, the education board said that service has been resumed on the website and that thousands of students have completed their submissions. "While thousands of students accessed the CBSE re-evaluation portal today, malicious actors attempted to disrupt services," CBSE said.
