Union Budget Education Live: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will on February 1 present the Union Budget 2026-27 in which she will also highlight the budget for the education sector in the new financial year. In last year's education budget, the BJP government had promised that in the next 5 years, 75,000 medical seats will be added, and the government will give a boost to the infrastructure of IITs set up after 2014.
