Amid CBSE Class 12 results row, the Ministry of Education on Sunday elaborated on the board's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system and announced steps to address students' grievances, particularly lowering re-evaluation-related charges and said that all the concerns are being "addressed accordingly."

CBSE has revised its post-result review process, lowering fees and giving students scanned answer sheets first. The change comes amid scrutiny over evaluation errors and wider concerns about trust in board marking.

During a press conference, an education ministry official said that there are no chances of marking errors in the Class 12 board examinations amid concerns of errors in checking papers.

During the rollout of On-Screen Marking (OSM) in the CBSE Class 12 examinations, the board reported that over 80,000 answer scripts required corrective action.

After concerns over Class 12 marks, CBSE said its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system digitally evaluates scanned answer sheets with quality checks and trained examiners. The board said the system reduces errors, improves transparency and keeps re-evaluation rights unchanged.
